Efficient cleaning solution for construction machinery: M.V. Maschinenvertriebs GmbH launches MobyDick demucking system

M.V. Maschinenvertriebs GmbH from Forchheim / Upper Franconia sells and rents special machines to the construction industry and is a specialist for any operation in soft ground or mud. With a focus on the sale and rental of track dumpers, which are characterised by low ground pressure and flexible application possibilities, the company relies on proven manufacturers such as Prinoth, Kässbohrer and Morooka. Marco Gast, head and owner of the company, knows the advantages and disadvantages of the different concepts and can thus solve every problem individually.

Under the expert guidance of Marco Gast, the company’s chief executive and owner, M.V. Maschinenvertriebs GmbH has tackled a key challenge: the inefficient cleaning of returning construction machinery. This process previously required considerable time and water consumption, especially for large tracked dumpers, which could take up to five hours to clean.

In spring 2023, an innovative solution was implemented that not only optimises the operational processes, but also leads to significant time and resource savings. The integration of a coarse washing system from the renowned manufacturer MobyDick in the depot proved to be groundbreaking. Because space is very limited, the water recycling tank had to be placed under the washing system. This made the system a perfect fit for the operating procedure. The machines are unloaded from the low-loader and washed before they are taken to the workshop or prepared for the next job.

The demucking technology, based on proven washing technology and water recycling principles from MobyDick, uses moderate water pressure to thoroughly clean the entire vehicle. A special nozzle arrangement achieves an effective wash result. Unlike conventional tyre washers that only clean dirt-excluding areas, the Demucking system aims to clean the entire vehicle of coarse dirt such as soil, stones, clay, and coal dust without removing harmful oils and greases. This sustainable cleaning solution is suitable for construction equipment, military vehicles, and rail cars, ensuring continuously operational and clean vehicles.

The implementation of the MobyDick Demucking system has not only significantly reduced cleaning time, from up to five hours to just twenty minutes, but also allows for more efficient use of resources. Marco Gast comments, “If I had implemented this system five years ago, it would probably have paid for itself by now.”
