For the 10th time in a row, FRUTIGER Company AG is one of the exhibitors at IFAT 2022 in Munich. Under the motto “A whale, a promise!” the Swiss company will present itself at booth 528 in hall B4.
“You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs,” as the old saying goes. In terms of the construction industry, this usually means soiling the immediate working environment. It is not uncommon for the public space to be affected as well. This can manifest itself, for example, in polluted roads or major traffic jams around landfills, construction sites or recycling areas. The work equipment itself also regularly becomes heavily soiled during tough operations and needs to be cleaned. Under the brand name MobyDick, FRUTIGER Company AG offers three product ranges that reliably solve these and other problems.
Wheel washing systems – Clean public roads
With up to 10 kilograms of dirt on their wheels and chassis, trucks from landfills, construction sites and extraction operations drive onto public roads. The result is dangerous soiling of the roadway. This does not have to be the case, because modern MobyDick wheel washing systems can clean the tires and chassis of construction vehicles quickly, cost-effectively and in an environmentally friendly manner.
During slow passage (walking speed), tires and chassis are cleaned by water spraying from many nozzles (spray bars). During the cleaning process, the wash water automatically flows back into the system. There, automatic reprocessing takes place for the next washing process. The sludge produced in the process is discharged by an integrated scraper conveyor or by means of an excavator and can be easily disposed of.
Demucking – rapid rough cleaning for wheeled, rail and track vehicles
Unlike wheel washing systems, demucking is not about the clean road, but about the clean vehicle. Modern MobyDick demucking systems automate the laborious manual cleaning of chassis, underbody as well as the wheels or tracks of construction vehicles. Within minutes, even the most stubborn dirt can be softened and rinsed off with the proven MobyDick low-pressure technology. If necessary, an integrated and very powerful spray lance (500l/min) can then be used for a short follow-up wash of the hard-to-reach areas. The dirt that accumulates is always automatically rinsed into the recycling tank by the high water flow and settles there with the addition of an environmentally friendly flocculant. The wash water is completely recycled and can be used again for the next cleaning process. In addition to a lot of time, a large amount of water and chemicals is also saved, which has a lasting effect on the environment.
Dust Control – Clear air for people and the environment
At IFAT, FRUTIGER will present a new, adaptive generation of dust control systems, developed with the support of the Institute of Aerodynamics at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. The modern MobyDick dust control systems work on the principle of dust binding by the finest water droplets and offer outstanding efficiency with minimal noise emissions. Throw distance, spray pattern as well as water and power requirements can be freely selected at any time on all New Generation models in order to respond flexibly to changing operating conditions.
