MobyDick in the port of Lanshan

The port of Rizhao in Lanshan is a large bulk cargo port in the Chinese province of Shandong. It is located in the Yellow Sea, halfway between Rizhao and Lianyungang and next to Haizhou Bay. Day after day, countless trucks distribute the cargo arriving here all over China. Due to the bulk materials stored on the port area, the wheels and chassis of the vehicles are often heavily soiled, which in the past led to a constant pollution of the public roads around the port.

In order to solve this problem sustainably, the port authority instructed FRUTIGER to install a large Wheel Washing System MobyDick with 20 meters length at the exit of the port. The washing water will be recycled after the waking process in specially constructed concrete basins with about 250m3.

Since the commissioning of the MobyDick system a few weeks ago, the cleanliness of the surrounding streets has improved enormously and further Wheel Washing Systems for ports are already being planned.
