Duke Energy is one of the largest electricity holding companies in the United States, serving 7.7 million retail customers in six states. MobyDick KIT Plus Wheel Washing System in Bulgaria

Due to increasing pollution of the roads around a quarry in Bulgaria, the owner, a large international construction company, was looking for a high quality wheel washing system. The product had to be able to reliably clean the wheels and chassis of up to 200 trucks with medium soiling when leaving the quarry. In order to find the best solution, the equipment of different suppliers was compared in an evaluation phase. In the end the choice fell on a FRUTIGER wheel washing system of the type MobyDick KIT Plus, which was able to convince especially by the very good price-performance ratio, the robust construction and the simple installation. After a planning and production phase of few months, the plant could be installed recently by a FRUTIGER mechanic and handed over to the content customer.

A new wheel washing system for Winterthur

Only a few kilometers away from FRUTIGER headquarters, a ConLine KIT Plus 800B-50P wheel washing system was recently installed for a public landfill site of the city of Winterthur. Since access to the landfill is also permitted to private individuals, the recycling tank was covered with a grating as an additional safety measure. The modern MobyDick wheel washing system ensures that the exit and the roads around the landfill will remain clean in the future and additional cleaning by broom vehicles can be kept to a minimum.

ConLine KIT Plus Wheel Washing System in Western Switzerland

After a thorough consulting and planning phase FRUTIGER has installed a 12 meter long MobyDick wheel washing system together with the partner for the French part of Switzerland, the company Ramat in Chavornay.
The water recycling tank was built by the customer in concrete according to FRUTIGER’s specifications and guarantees a continuous good washing water quality. Emptying is uncomplicated and cost-effective with the excavator possible. Thanks to the modern MobyDick system, in contrast to the previous solution (drive-through basin), high truck frequencies can now also be washed with clean clear water. Due to the active spraying of the tyres with a lot of water and little pressure during three wheel rotations, the cleaning result is also much better than before.

MobyDick in Iceland

Last year FRUTIGER delivered a wheel washing system MobyDick ConLine KIT Plus 600B-50P to Iceland. Together with the MobyDick partner on site, the company Verkfaeri ehf, the machine was put into operation within a few days. Thanks to the large-sized water recycling and a wash platform length of 6 meters, this system can handle up to 200 trucks per day with medium soiled chassis and wheels. Even in wintry conditions, the system is regularly used to keep the public roads around the construction site clean.

MobyDick at Zurich Airport

In the coming months, a new hangar for business aircraft and possibly also Rega jets will be built at Zurich Airport. Offices and rooms for customs clearance will also be built.
In order to keep the roads around the construction site and the airport as clean as possible during the construction work, the construction company responsible has opted for a tried and tested MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex 400B wheel washing system. The system can sustainably clean up to 150 trucks a day with recycled water and reuse up to 98% of the washing water used.

Beside many large tailored wheel washing system also standardized modular machines of the model series ConLine are in great demand on the American market. Among others, a MobyDick ConLine wheel washing system was recently installed north of San Franciso in Elk Grove for an owner-managed gravel and sand company.

MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex 400 Mobile B with flocculant dosing unit

At four locations in the Kassel and North Hesse area, BAUREKA handles approx. 400,000 tons of soil and construction waste per year and produces high-quality recycling materials for the construction sector. In addition, approx. 40,000 tonnes of industrial residues (including ash from the Kassel waste incineration plant) are processed annually. Valuable metals are returned to the material cycle through processing and the remaining minerals are used in road construction and earthworks. In order to reduce the pollution of the public roads in the surroundings of the community in Igelsburg / Habichtswald FRUTIGER installed a mobile wheel washing system with 4 meters length for the cleaning of approx. 100 trucks per day.

Installation of a MobyDick ConLine KIT Plus 800 B-50P in Huglfing, Upper Bavaria

In the course of the construction project Kramertunnel in Bavaria, the company Herrmann Albrecht Hoch- und Tiefbau GmbH decided to install a MobyDick Wheel Washing System. From now on, the wheels and chassis of more than 100 trucks can be cleaned per day, in order to minimize the road pollution caused by the transport of the excavated material. The planned single-tube tunnel with two lanes and a length of 3577 m will be the third longest road tunnel in Germany after its completion. The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of the supra-regional north-south connection between Munich and Fernpass (Austria – Tyrol) and to relieve the city centre of Garmisch. The opening of the tunnel is planned for 2024.
