In October 2023, a leading construction materials company approached FRUTIGER to find a solution for contamination issues at their quarry in New Braunfels, Texas. This charming city, known for its German cultural heritage, is surrounded by natural limestone formations and serves as an important hub for the construction materials industry.

A MobyDick Dragon wheel washing system was recently put into operation in Luxembourg. The construction site is located in a residential area where an underground parking garage is currently being built. An additional optical sensor was installed because, in addition to the outgoing trucks that need to be cleaned, trucks also drive backwards over the wheel washing system into the tunnel entrance. This prevents the car wash from being triggered unnecessarily in such cases and thus helps to optimize operation.

A few months ago, a MobyDick ONE 720 wheel washing system was installed at a quarry in Eastern Bohemia. The MobyDick ONE 720 is a model from our Tailor Made Line, specifically adapted to various operating conditions and capable of handling the highest levels of contamination. Since vehicles at the quarry are exposed daily to large amounts of dirt and dust, a solution was required that could withstand these extreme conditions.
The system includes two recycling tanks for washing water treatment, two galvanized drip pads, and a 7.2-meter-long washing element. Additionally, the Powerflush option (special nozzle) ensures thorough cleaning of the area between the wheel and fender – a patented innovation by FRUTIGER.

FRUTIGER is proud to have successfully exhibited at the Resource & Waste Management Expo (RWM) in Birmingham, held on September 11-12, 2024. The event brought together industry leaders and innovators focused on advancing sustainable waste, recycling and resource management practices.

FRUTIGER visited a customer in Oregon, US, to confirm project details and assess their needs. The landfill, located on a hillside and surrounded by environmentally sensitive agricultural businesses, aimed to reduce track-out, promoting environmental responsibility, and maintaining good relations with neighbors.

Due to concerns about the safety and cleanliness of the roads surrounding a large construction site in England, FRUTIGER was tasked by the responsible construction company with conducting a comprehensive analysis of the local conditions. The focus was on the pollution of public areas caused by truck traffic and potential solutions.

In England, FRUTIGER recently visited a customer to assess the site conditions for optimal dust control. A detailed study of the wind direction was carried out to determine the ideal positioning and distance of the MobyDick Dust Control Cannons. The customer confirmed the order of three MobyDick Cannon 60 Single with a throw range of 60 meters, two of which required special brackets for elevated installation. The dust problem that had been affecting the nearby offices was effectively solved with the commissioning of the MobyDick Dust Control Cannons. After commissioning, FRUTIGER retrofitted the higher mounted cannons with drain valves for ground level operation.

On 27 and 28 July 2024, an internationally renowned pop star performed at Park 360 in Hradec Kralove while temperatures exceeded 30 °C. In front of almost 100,000 visitors, the MobyDick Dust Control Cannon ensured that a pleasant atmosphere prevailed despite the hot conditions.

A leading player in the quarrying and lime production industry in Germany has recently integrated a MobyDick wheel washing system from FRUTIGER to ensure long-term cleanliness around its premises. To do this, he opted for the ONE 1000, which is specially designed for the heaviest soiling. Thanks to large pipe cross-sections and a large number of pumps, this system can handle even the most stubborn dirt. The “Heavy Duty Wash” option has also been integrated, which ensures intensive, targeted manual cleaning using a hand lance and also cleans other areas of vehicles and construction machinery.
